Behavior Patterns In Elkhounds To Match Instinct Patterns

Most breeders don’t have enough dogs to see “Behavior Patterns”, let alone “Instinctive Patterns”. In many cases the male is just assessed from photos and articles, judging and such, really very little if any interaction with the male, or the female to “See”, “Watch” and “Learn” if they actually are good matches.

Aina is assisting Tekla is pack raising her pups

Ultimate behavior patterns indicate females will share raising responsibilities if behaviors match. Aina helping Tekla here.

For most breeders, 80% or so, they don’t even have the male on site, it’s somewhere else. Not their male. Second to that is they can’t see “Generational Behavior”. This is one that 99% can’t see.

Why is good to see this. Well, behaviors match in genetics you wish to keep using. Behaviors need to “align” in related dogs or off spring is not going to be reliable in behavior, and of course instincts.

“Instincts Create Behavior”.

So if you have dogs that you can visually see getting along, working together, mentoring, hunting, pack oriented modeling you are witnessing early signs that the outcome of mating these dogs or related dogs is going to be exceptional. Of course, final observations are the pups, but proof enough when you witness the young future breeding dogs working with the males, or vs young males working with the older breeding females and behaviors match. You can literally see the making of great pups from this behavior.

At Kamia Kennels we have done this for decades. I’ll be able to showcase profound instances of this in multiple lineages and show how early on we can “See Behavior” so we are almost certain to “Get Behavior” in the pups.

Watching Behavior between Takoda and Kamp, exceptional bonding early

This is a very good illustration of bonding early on between the dominant male and the new female pup. Behaviors can be watched for literally years before even mating when you have this situation.

This is the background of the Full Blood litter in Montana right now, we already have seen generations of this lineage working together, behaving the same.

Years later this lineage still working together, the female is mature now.

This particular lineage has “Behavior patterns that emerge” before the mating even begins. We know the mating will be good matches.

Tekla was a daughter of this female, Takoda was then mated to that daughter Tekla. We ended up with the absolute best working Norwegian Elkhounds in the world from this combination of genetics. This was the MANE, Luna, Teeko, that lineage result. Best dogs ever. I can expand on this lineage for generations.

Takoda now mentoring Kalia, again we get to watch the behavior before the genetics show.

This particular modeling so we can watch the behavior patterns is so close to exact results in predictability it’s scary. Literally 100% accurate. We know they are going to match up so well as we have years to see this.

Takoda and Kalia go everywhere together, Tora as a daughter of Takoda also exhibits pure excellence in match up.

Again, no matter which genetic lineage we watch the patterns in, they are visible long before we actually get matings. By having second generation dogs like Tora accompany and work with Kalia we witness multiple generations have the Great Behavior Patterns.

Kalia and Takoda, exceptional behavior patterns.

We witness the behavior patterns, what’s fascinating is the first behavior pattern, if it matches, it will match with the second, so all we need to do is observe that set of Elkhounds, see it produce same behavior, we now have verified multiple lineage variations. Fascinating thing to see.

Second Generation Jaegar and Kamp, showing exceptional behavior patterns for years.

Here is on display a second generation. Jaegar is a son of Takoda and he blends and works flawlessly with Kamp. Second generations work to showcase proven behaviors before mating, we then know we can use sons of Takoda as easily as himself.

Kalia and Kamp, behavior matched across this lineage as well.

By having the many lineages in world conditions, working full time we get to witness multiple cross lineage combinations, each having worked with the main, now the secondary all work as they worked with the main. It’s a flawless way to predict before breeding.

Almost can’t get any better behavior between Kalia and Kamp. Fascinating to witness.

These cross behavior patterns can be monitored and envisioned for years, in some cases lifetimes so we can predict the behaviors in offspring.

Monitoring Takoda and Aina and having the relationship bond instantly we knew the results are going to be spectacular.

We knew before even bringing Aina in that this match would work as Takoda of course has the Norrland blood which Aina carries down from. All our lines of course Takoda is going to match in almost all respects as he carries the blood of all Elkhounds, so it’s no surprise him and Aina are pals instantly.

This is the ultimate behavior match

As you can see, ultimate behavior matching, Takoda and Aina. These bloodlines are ancient old pals from centuries, now back together again. We will see all lines converge here in a great fashion.

Look at the generational companionship. This is Tekla, daughter of Kamp, and Tora, daughter of Takoda, with Aina, all blend behaviors perfectly.
Two powerhouse females, same behaviors and thoughts.
Here is multiple generations of multiple lineages all working as one. Behaviors identical.

Team work has to become them. They need to exhibit the “behavior of pairs” then we can actually understand that we have chosen correctly before even the “pups show up”.

Team work, behavior patterns emerge in working lines, matched pairs, etc.

This pair of females, Aina and Kalia, they are as you will know, the grandmothers of the Full Blood litter from Ark and Karia. My latest Desna females, Linnie and Mjrn were exceptional showing to the world exactly what I am talking about.

Many genetics can converge, allowing for visual interaction for behavior genetic patterns showcasing all the underlying instinctive skillsets and patterns.

Many genetic lineages working alongside each other, tells the tale.

2nd and 3rd generation dogs now showcasing the ability to work and exhibit the same behaviors. This is the proof in the pudding.

Pretty hard to argue that the pups we produce today all exhibit the same traits, behaviors and so forth that were initially exhibited. This process is undoubtably one of the surest ways to predictable behavior in the resulting pups, no matter the lineage working together to create it. The pup of course is the final testament but we have seen hundreds and hundreds of pups now that all show the same.

One thing is certain, off leash behavior is bred, not trained, but instinctive level skill in certain lineages.

Multiple generations can be viewed in one location if the quality of the dogs is high. Kamia Kennels of course can view many, many generations in one outing, showcasing the behavior of many lineages all still exhibiting same behavior.

3 and 4 generations down the lineages still all exhibit the precise behaviors. IN fact, the off leash, the matched capability, it gets better and better.

This is all those lineages working together decades later, 4 and 5 generations deep now, better and better working behavior showing all the time. Truly fascinating to watch and witness, even for someone from a distance through the videos and the photos. To see all the early planned connections coming together in pups better and better behaviors all the time is so wonderful.

You can view these lineages 5 generations and now six, all flawless, all behaviors as suspected in the very beginning.

5 Generations of Offspring from the main behavior matched pairs. Very, very cool for sure.

I’ll be able to showcase endless combinations of behavior exhibits, this is a start. One thing for certain, Kamia Kennels can showcase more excellent combinations than any other breeder literally in history in working conditions.

The pups we have on the ground now, and coming are 5th and 6th generation of this excellent behavior and instinctive skill. Truly outstanding Full Blood Elkhounds are being brought forward litter after litter now. What an outstanding foundational aspect for the breeds to have this decades of observation and recorded behaviors, with the superior results showcased with every new handler we have.

Again, the proof is in the pudding. This last photo above is a decade between the clients first dog and the last dog. They are loving the new male, he is such a wonderful young fella. Behaviors are so clearly evident to be similar and outstanding.

Reach out to us, we have Full Blood Elkhounds, Norwegian Elkhounds and Swedish Elkhounds coming.

I’ll be expanding on this aspect, but a final photo for you. It was a very, very rewarding day. I had Ole Man Takoda himself out mentoring two of his GGG grandsons. Yep, five generations from him to the pups and he is was still mentoring and training and the little Rock Stars they just worked like flawless replica’s. Amazing, truly amazing day for me. I have had many of them like this but as I started to reach the 4, 5th and now 6th generations of lineages planned decades ago. It’s pretty cool, no doubt.!
