**Field Report – Ragnar (Ark × Revna)

FullBlood Male – Montana Whelping New Hampshire Stewardship Family – Joshua**

Overview

Ragnar is developing exactly on the FullBlood trajectory expected from an Ark × Revna son. At 7 months, he is already presenting the hallmark traits of this line: calm intelligence, strong environmental reading, family loyalty, and early-stage hunting awareness. Joshua’s stewardship is excellent — raw diet, correct supplements, natural chew materials, and consistent family integration are producing the right emotional and physical balance.

This is a male with the same genetic architecture as Aurella (his half sister, currently bred to Posso) and the same foundational male pillars behind Karu and ARCO. Ragnar’s expression is the ultra-dark variant of the line — the same deep northern coat signature you see in Ark’s Montana sons — while Murdock carries the silver expression. The behaviour parallels are already visible: calm focus, handler awareness, and early terrain intelligence.

Physical Development

  • Height: 25 inches at the withers
  • Weight: 53 lbs
  • Age: 7 months
  • Coat: Very soft, dense, dark FullBlood expression
  • Condition: Excellent — raw-fed, salmon oil, probiotics, natural chews

This is textbook growth for an Ark × Revna male. The proportions are balanced, the frame is tightening, and the coat softness indicates correct nutrition and low stress.

Temperament & Family Integration

Joshua reports Ragnar as:

  • Very friendly
  • Family oriented
  • Loyal and attentive
  • Calm companion indoors
  • Natural hunter outdoors

This is precisely the behavioural profile of the Montana FullBlood litters — high emotional stability, strong bonding, and early situational awareness. Ragnar is already mapping his family unit and showing the correct attentiveness that makes these males exceptional companions.

Instinct & Early Hunting Intelligence

Ragnar is demonstrating:

  • Natural prey awareness
  • Early scent mapping
  • Calm focus rather than frantic drive
  • Controlled curiosity
  • Strong environmental interest

This is the same instinct pattern seen in Ark’s sons and Revna’s daughters — a northern-style hunter that reads terrain rather than charging through it.

Joshua’s plan to expand Ragnar’s range into wide open spaces and woodland terrain this fall is perfect timing. At 7–10 months, these males begin their first real mapping of large areas, and Ragnar will thrive with elevation, timber, and open country.

Stewardship Assessment

Joshua is doing tremendous work:

  • Raw diet and correct supplements
  • Natural chew materials
  • Family integration
  • Calm, consistent handling
  • Early exposure to outdoor terrain
  • Clear communication and bonding

This is exactly how a FullBlood male should be raised. Ragnar is on track to become an exceptional companion and working Elkhound within the Stewardship program. Huge Thanks to Joshua for sending in this field report and for the great care this big fella is getting.
