AURELLA × POSSO — OFFICIAL BREEDING UPDATE
Heritage Jamthunds Expected in 63 Days
We are pleased to share that Aurella and Posso, our Full Jamthund pair, tied today. This marks the next chapter in the Jamthund Restoration Program here in Canada, and if all progresses normally, we expect brand new heritage Jamthunds on the ground in approximately 63 days.
This is a significant moment for the Jamthund Return Track — a continuation of the Aina → Varella → Aurella maternal dynasty combined with the Finnish hunting-line strength of Posso.

WHY THIS LITTER MATTERS
This is not simply another breeding. This is a restoration-driven, lineage-preserving Jamthund litter, reinforcing:
- The Aina maternal dynasty
- The Varella Finnish-import line
- The Posso Finnish hunting-line import
- The Ark mentorship and male-architecture continuity
This pairing strengthens the structural, cognitive, and instinctive traits that define the original Jamthund:
- Territorial intelligence
- Handler focus and deep bonding
- Large-frame, mountain-capable structure
- Bear-lineage working instincts
- Genetic diversity within the Jamthund population

STEWARDSHIP & RETENTION — ALL PUPS REMAIN IN THE PROGRAM
Every pup from this litter — male and female — will be:
- Placed with aligned families,
- Stewarded under the Kamia Restoration Program, and
- Retained as part of the long-term breeding and genetic architecture.
This ensures the Jamthund population in North America continues to rebuild with integrity, purpose, and multi‑generation continuity.
These pups will not be “sold” in the conventional sense. They will be placed as restoration assets, each one contributing to the future of the breed.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THIS LITTER
Based on previous Aurella × Posso pups and the depth of the combined lineage, we anticipate:
- Strong, athletic frames built for northern terrain
- Deep winter coats and exceptional cold tolerance
- Calm, confident temperaments with high intelligence
- Natural predator awareness and bear-sense
- Classic Jamthund silhouette with long legs and powerful gait
- Deep bonding and cooperative working style
This is a heritage Swedish Elkhound litter, bred with purpose, history, and long-term restoration in mind.

NEXT STEPS
We will provide updates throughout the pregnancy, including:
- Confirmation of pregnancy
- Development milestones
- Expected whelping window
- Stewardship and placement details for participating families
The Jamthund Return continues — and today marks a major step forward
