Jaegar and Silver Nova, two of the very best Norwegian Elkhounds in the world had a litter a long time ago. The beautiful Silver Nessa was held back to continue this incredible bloodline. Silver Nessa was mated to our Finnish Rock Star Import Karu!
Oh Yeah, Karu and Silver Nessa, they of course are the parents of this fabulous Rock Star female, Silver Moon!
Did you all know that Silver Nova’s dad is one of the Gold Standard Norwegian Elkhounds, there are only 6 in all of North American history. Yep! Literally judged more times than almost any other Elkhound.

Her mother was the famed Champion Silver Princess, Lillian Gamble had that famous litter, a long time decades of breeding expert, Silver Nova was selected by Lillian as an outcross for our stunning Jaegar.
Jaegar was easily one of the very best Norwegian Elkhounds ever in North America. He is a son of the legendary Takoda, this is Norrland Bloodline. Oldest known best working bloodline in the world.

Silver Moon is going to be utilized to provide seedstock preservation and restoration genetics for the Norwegian Elkhound type, as well, she will contribute to the Full Blood genetic pool that will restore Norwegian Elkhounds.
Silver Moon will be in her lifetime mated to both Norwegian Elkhound preservation males to preserve the Norwegian Elkhound type side, but also she will be mated to Arco and possibly other Swedish Elkhounds to create the Full Blood Elkhounds for restoration.
Silver Moon has as good a background as any Norwegian Elkhound that has ever been in North America and for that matter, any where in the world.
She is also Kamia Kennels Golden Ring lineage. Kamia Kennels is the only breeder with the legendary Golden Ring Elkhound line.
Silver Nessa was always and incredible working Elkhound and her ability to pass genetic instincts intact came straight down from her Father Jaegar. She has passed these intact to Silver Moon, and as you can easily guess, Silver Moon’s famous Father Karu, he as well passes all instincts intact.

Karu was imported by Kamia Kennels to bring outcross genetic material from the very best that Europe, and specifically Finland had to offer in working champion bloodlines. His genetic had never left Scandinavia so this is profound to have his intense hunting background of Norwegian Elkhounds in Silver Moon.
This allows us to have the absolute best Norwegian Elkhound genetics contribution to the restoration of all Norwegian Elkhounds using Silver Moon.
We have a year or so before we mate Silver Moon and this allows us time to bring over one of the other famous studs the Finnish breeders have begun selection on for Silver Moon.
