5 months old and seriously skilled and powerful. She is so muscled in from the deep snow, she wrestles with big Posso every minute of the day basically. She is tough! The limbs, the tendons, muscle structure, bone density, all of it is intense in this Full Blood Elkhound female.
If you want to see what these Full Bloods are built like, Mjrn is a fitting example. Her father is Ark, a very large Jamthund preservation lineage male. Big and solid, he has excellent ability to pass this solid build down.
What’s neat is Karia, the mother also is able to pass down her solid build. Karu the father of Karia he has stamped Mjrn with his stunning coat and color pattern.
Karia is a Norwegian Elkhound and when you are creating the New Full Blood genetics for the restoration Kamia Kennels uses both sides, Norwegian and Swedish, leaving us with these incredible Full Bloods like Mrjn.
You literally get to witness the most incredible young Elkhounds as these Full Bloods develop and grow. There are so few of them in the world it’s amazing each time we get to showcase them. Ark and Karia had the very first litter of Full Bloods ever, this is the second litter they had that Mrjn was from.
The beauty of these Full Bloods is they retain all the very best of the old ancient Elkhounds that started all the types. It’s super easy to see how you can take and get a really great Norwegian Elkhound out of Mjrn and a Norwegian male, say one like Teeko. Teeko is unrelated to Mjrn and the Full Bloods allow us to bring back genetic material from the ancient lines and infuse the existing Norwegian Elkhound genetics with new material.
Kamia Kennels is now reversing the genetic loss by utilizing the Full Blood Elkhound to introduce new genetic bloodlines. Pups like Mjrn are incredibly important to the entire Elkhound breed as she is a showcase of the quality and substance that these Full Bloods have. She is such a phenomenal instinct rich female pup it’s amazing to work with her.
What’s so cool about having Mjrn here for a while longer is we get to see in detail how the pups develop and learn, work and handle. So far it’s incredible, I am so pleased with her. She is a very, very handler focused young pup. All my pups are of course but it’s truly standing out in this young Elkhound.
The Vaeda litter of Full Bloods will be almost exactly like Mjrn as they develop. They will look very similiar and have all the traits that she has as the lineage is very close to the same. The father of the Vaeda litter is ARCO, he is a son of Ark. So genetics very close.
Vaeda and Karia are very similar build and style, both old world big girls. The pups should be splitting images pretty much. Some might show a slight bit darker or lighter, but end up very close.
