Revna is down in Montana with Linda and she will be soon having another historic litter of Full Blood Elkhounds. These are the best of the best in the restoration and preservation of genetic Elkhound world. Revna is one of the very few Norrland Norwegian Elkhounds and she is extremely diverse in her genetic make up.

You will all know her famous father, the top stud dog import in Norwegian Elkhound history, Karu! This diverse full instinct hunting male was brought in for the Kamia Kennels Norrland females and the ancient lineage old world working females we have. He was a full outcross genetic that has never been in North America before.

Mating him to Luna was a match of epic proportions of genetic material combining to create the absolute best in diverse old world instinctive rich Norwegian Elkhounds.

The vast depth of this genetic match was also one of the key reasons Karu was brought in as he was able to provide depth from his side in genetic quality to match in the incredible depth of Luna and her background.

Preservation Elkhounds are vastly superior to normal Norwegian Elkhounds in North America due to the instinct rich genetic capability, the vast diversity in genetic material. Karu has never had his genetics in North America and no other North American Norwegian Elkhounds carry the Luna bloodline. So we have two completely unique strains of Elkhounds now that can provide full diverse, extremely healthy and profoundly handler focused off spring to the genetic pool using a pup from them which is Revna.

Extremely good handler focus. This equates to the absolute best off leash capabilities in North American genetics, but quite honestly are the very best in the world. Few lineages exist anywhere in the capability category of Revna and her background genetics for off leash remote terrain handling.

It will take a long time to expand on the entire background of Revna and this upcoming litter, her background on Karu’s side, and then I’ll expand to Ark’s side.

As you all are aware I have hiked for decades on his side as well. These are going to be some of the absolute finest pups for remote terrain work and will have extremely good health and behavior traits, both of these lines are superior in mental stability.
