Full Blood Elkhounds Return To North America
The incredible Revna is once again going to produce more Full Bloods for the preservation of the Norwegian Elkhounds and she has been successfully mated to Ark for a litter coming in 2026.
I’ll outline a few of the incredible combinations leading up this great set of pups. It dates back a few decades just in our program but of course goes much further back.
A few of the goals were to have instinct rich Elkhounds, dogs that have all the ability to pass instinctive traits down to the offspring. We were blessed to have this ancient trait in all our breeding pairs.
Also a very unique feature of our preservation program is we wanted to have as our goal both sides of the genetic in multiple generations, to be sure we could witness the depth and integrity of the genetic.
The pups coming will be 5th generation pups on one side and 4th generation on the other. An incredible set of Elkhound combinations contributing to these young Rock Stars soon to arrive.
Working skills, family and bonding abilities, handler focus and remote terrain, full hunt drive, diversity at its peak, all incredible abilities of the Elkhound preserved, this was a true goal. We know we have achieved this and then some.
We are excited to witness the revival and continuation of the Full Blood Elkhound. Our first set with Ark and Karia have been tremendous Elkhounds and this is a further deepening of our commitment to preservation of the ancient lineage Elkhounds with the Revna and Ark litter.
