We are excited to say we got a hookup with Varja and Odin! Oh this is such a great thing. There are so few extraordinary Norwegian Elkhounds in North America and to have two of the very best come together for a litter is really special.

Years ago I placed Odin out with Lucinda on the Sun Shine Coast and he has been watching the yard, the chickens and children for years. We brought him in for a mating and sure enough, the coyotes come in and get a bunch of chickens while he is away, shit. Odin is going to tear them a new one when he gets home. Coyotes beware.
So this is a very special mating as I have raised both sides of this incredible match up, I also raised the Mother of Varja as you know, my favorite female Tekla, and I also raised the mother of Odin, my best pal ever and so loyal Vida. I have raised a lot more of the ancestors of these dogs as well. This is going to be fourth generation pups on both sides for Kamia Kennels. Two decades on both sides! Yeah, go figure right, a long time planning this out. Tons of hiking.
I can tell you this, in the world of hiking Norwegian Elkhounds there are absolutely zero dogs that are better than the dogs in this lineage. None, no where in the world. This is the culmination of the absolute best handler focus off leash Rock Stars you can get.
