Rita, one of the best Norwegian Elkhound females in North America is going to be whelping in Montana shortly. Michael made a great effort to travel down and meet Linda, who also stepped way up to meet him in Canada near the border to get Rita. Rita was down with Linda before, now she is back there to whelp again.
Rita to whelp soon in USA
Norwegian Elkhound pups coming soon from Rita. She is one of the top female Norwegian Elkhound preservation lineage dogs in the world. She will be whelping in Montana.
Rita will have 5th generation pups in our program. She has incredible Norwegian Elkhound puppies. Some of her stunning pups from prior litters that we held back in the preservation program are Lil Griz, who is at Linda’s in Montana. As well Rovi and Caelidh are up with Michael and Sarah, they are from the second litter, Griz from the first.
These daughters are remarkable Norwegian Elkhound females and the males are stunning as well from the previous litters.
Two of the famous beauties from the second litter that reside now up in the boreal forest region of Athabasca are the sisters Rovi and Caelidh. Michael and Sarah have picked out two incredible preservation females.
The effort put forth from Michael and Sarah and Linda and Darrell to get this litter born in the USA is profound as we wanted the USA folks to have a chance at some of these great pups.
By whelping in the USA the folks there can get pups at that 8 week of age mark. If we had kept her in Canada to whelp, USA clients would have to wait till the 24 week mark. It’s remarkable that Linda has such a great setup, is familiar with Rita as she has whelped her first litter so we were able to do this again.
After Rita whelps, we will bring her back to run with the pack up in Alberta again with her daughters Rovi and Caelidh. Very cool actually for all this to happen. Tons of organization and driving and so on for Michael and Linda but overall it’s perfect for the clients in the USA.
So this whole litter of Norwegian Elkhound Preservation Lineage pups will be placed in the USA. As the only preservation breeder in North America it’s a great time for those folks in the USA to get a pup.
We have some awesome clients already in line, two of the families already have pups from us, and the others are new clients, but totally excited to experience these working lineages dogs.
