In Montana right now there is a litter of Full Blood Elkhound pups 1 month old that carry ancient old world exceptional genetics.

Nordic Champions on both sides of the lineage. I have mentioned before about the Nordic Champion bloodlines which are those exceptional dogs who have won Championships in hunting in at least three of the five Scandinavian countries. Nordic Champions are on both sides of those pups.

When we come closer in for a look at some of the incredible females that line the background, even though we could talk for days on the studs, let’s focus in on just a few of the absolutely elite females that power those pups.

First up of course is Revna, she is without a doubt one of the best Norwegian Elkhound females currently walking the earth. She is one of the very few completely diverse bloodline breeding foundation females that carry the Norrland bloodline and the historic Ravenstone Bloodline as well she is as you know a Granddaughter of the Finnish Phenom herself, Rittu, Triple Champion working female.

We are one of the only breeders left that focus and carry the Norrland, Ravenstone and of course the Finnish Rittu bloodline. But only back a generation or so is the famed Tekla. I have stated many times in my opinion Tekla was the very best female in the world. I have not changed my opinion even now. Tekla as you all know carries Two of the Nordic Champion Elkhounds from Norway in her background. Both of Tekla’s parents were first gen in Canada.

I as you know hiked the entire life with Tekla’s mother who is 5 generations from those pups. Thousands of miles of remote terrain hiking with all of the descendants down to those exceptional pups.

There are probably less than 4 breeders anywhere in the world today that have multiple generation pups even on one side. Here in this Montana litter we have multiple generations on both sides. Yes, lifetime hiking with both sides, as you all know, my best pal and foundation female Aina powerhouse herself is the exceptional background Grandmother on the sires side of this litter.

We all know Aina’s mother the Bear Champion Lisa back in Finland will send the dark back into these magnificent pups with full instinctive bear skill. This line can trace all the way back to founding bloodlines back in Jamtland region of Sweden where the big grey’s trace back to and carry the namesake. Lisa’s mother the world class working Champion Salonpellon Tellu powers this exceptional lineage from 5 generations back. This would be Aina’s Grandmother.

Exceptional female after exceptional female and we haven’t even mentioned Revna’s incredible mother Luna yet.

One of the very best Norwegian Elkhound females, a true matched pair bloodline female. Her and her brothers, MANE and Teeko hiked with Luna every single day.

This was an extraordinary female with a very diverse background. She is the Grandmother to those pups in Montana. You can not wish for a better off leash remote terrain working bloodline.
