A Twenty‑Year Chronicle of the Norrland Male Architecture
For more than two decades I have stewarded a male‑line architecture unlike anything else in the Elkhound world. Teeko stands today as the active representative of that lineage, but he is not an isolated sire. He is the modern expression of a multi‑generation male cohort — full brothers, half brothers, lineage brothers, and working males who carried the ancient Norrland intelligence forward.
This article is the historical record of those brothers. The males who stood beside Teeko. The males who built the Kamia program. The males who preserved the old architecture.
THE EARLY BROTHERS — THE FIRST GENERATION
Long before Teeko was born, the early Norrland males were already shaping the foundation.
Kona & Bruin — The First Matched Pair
Kona and Bruin were the very first matched pair of Kamia males ever placed. Big, powerful northern boys living in Northern BC, they represented the earliest expression of the Takoda × Mia lineage outside the core pack. Their structure, stamina, and presence set the tone for the working architecture that would follow.

Loki‑Bear — The Big Dark Norrland Male
Loki‑Bear was one of the earliest and largest Norrland males I ever produced. A deep dark coat, massive frame, and old‑world presence defined him. He is passed on now, but his influence remains embedded in the early architecture of the program.

Loki — The Northern Alberta Working Giant
Dorothy and Dan’s Loki worked the high country of Northern Alberta for 15 years. He was a true northern working Elkhound — endurance, grit, intelligence, and stability. His legacy continues through Torin, the Full Blood son of Kalia and Ark, who now carries that working clarity forward.

Shadow — The Big Silver Male
Shadow was an incredible big silver male from the Takoda × Mia lineage. He had presence, power, and a calm, grounded intelligence. He is passed on, but his structural and behavioral influence remains in the Silver line.

Koda — The Alberta Foothills Runner
Koda, another Takoda × Mia son, had exceptional longevity. He ran the foothills of Alberta well into his senior years, a testament to the structural correctness and stamina of the early Norrland architecture.

THE TAKODA SONS — THE DIRECT BROTHERS BY PATERNITY
These males share Takoda as their father — the core of the Norrland male line that shaped Teeko.
Dajr — Takoda × Gaeda
Dajr is an exceptional male — structure, intelligence, presence. Same father as Teeko, different maternal line. He is a powerful expression of Takoda’s behavioral clarity and one of the strongest males of his era.

Bane — Takoda × Gaeda
Bane, full brother to Dajr, is hiking the Utah regions with his handlers. He is athletic, strong, and carries the old‑world Norrland expression with precision. He fits perfectly into the Dajr branch of the Takoda line.

Sky — Takoda × Gaeda
Sky is another brother from this lineage. At 12 years old he is still mentoring Kodagh, a Full Blood male from Vaeda × Arco in southern Alberta. Sky is a living example of the mentorship architecture continuing into the next generation — longevity, stability, and clarity.

Jaegar — Takoda × Mia
Jaegar is one of the greatest foundation males of all time. His contribution to the Kamia program is massive — through both sons and daughters. His daughter Silver Nessa, mother of Silver Moon, carries his brilliance forward. Jaegar is a cornerstone of the Montana and Silver lines and one of the most influential males ever produced here.

THE TEKLA × LEIF BROTHERS — THE MATERNAL BROTHERS OF TEEKO
These males share Tekla as their mother but have Leif as their sire. They represent the maternal side of Teeko’s architecture expressed through a different paternal influence.
Loki — The Mountain Worker
This Loki (Tekla × Leif) is an incredible hiking and mountain Elkhound. He is the father of Vana, one of the greatest mentors in the modern program, and Tucker, who works Grizzly country every day. His working intelligence is unmatched.

Venn — The Future Sire of the Norwegian Elkhound Return
Venn is a rising cornerstone male. He represents the next era of the restoration program and carries the Tekla maternal intelligence with Leif’s structural correctness. He is positioned to be one of the most important sires of the coming decade.

Vitnir — The Big Handler‑Focused Male
Vitnir is a large, powerful male with exceptional handler focus. He is a modern expression of the Tekla maternal line — clarity, presence, and deep bonding.

Viking — The New Mexico Highland Worker
Viking, from the same lineage, is hiking the highlands of New Mexico. His adaptability and working stamina show the global reach and versatility of the Tekla line.

THE FULL SIBLING BROTHERS — TEEKO’S OWN LITTER
These males share both parents with Teeko — the purest expression of the Takoda × Tekla architecture.
MANE — The Greatest Norrland Male of All Time
MANE, in my opinion, is the greatest Norwegian Elkhound Norrland male ever produced. Full brother to Teeko. Mentor to Karu. Mentor to Karia. Stabilizer of the pack for years. A male of unmatched intelligence, presence, and influence.

Other Full Brothers
Teeko’s litter had multiple males of exceptional quality. Each carried the Takoda × Tekla behavioral architecture — calm, decisive, socially fluent, structurally correct. These brothers collectively shaped the modern Kamia program and ensured the continuity of the ancient Norrland line.

THE THEMES THAT DEFINE THE BROTHERS
Depth of Lineage
These males represent multiple maternal and paternal branches — Takoda × Mia, Takoda × Gaeda, Tekla × Leif — all converging into a single behavioral architecture.
Longevity
Many of these males worked 12–15+ years. Longevity is not an accident — it is the result of structural correctness, genetic diversity, and behavioral stability.
Behavioral Architecture
The brothers influenced each other. Mentorship flowed horizontally (brother to brother) and vertically (old male to young male). This is the backbone of the restoration program — not pedigrees, but living behavioral transmission.
Genetic Impact
Each male contributed sons and daughters who shaped the next generations. Their legacy is visible today in the Full Bloods, the Norrland line, the Montana line, the Silver line, and the Norwegian Elkhound Return program.
CONCLUSION — THE LEGACY OF THE BROTHERS
Teeko stands today as the active representative of a lineage built by many. These brothers preserved the ancient architecture. Their influence is visible in every modern Kamia dog. This article is the historical record of the males who built the breed — the brothers of Teeko, the foundation of the Kamia program, and the carriers of the old Norrland intelligence.
