It’s the final few hours of 2025 and it’s been quite the year. We are excited for 2026 and Jess and I want to wish each and everyone of our past and future clients all the best in the New Year!
Happy New Year!
Jess and I wish you all the best in 2026!
The year is ending with our famous Varja/Odin litter going to some of the new homes already, Adam and his family in Upstate New York have their boys in the snow there.
Adam and Genelle were just out to see me and get the beautiful Full Blood Linnie and travel back to Saskatchewan with her. She is going to be so loved.

Varja’s other pups are still with Linda who has been an amazing part of our program for many years but has really given us a hand this past year. She is currently handling the Varja litter as well she has the Vaeda 8 there also.

Norwegian Elkhound preservation is front and center at Kamia Kennels, we spent a great deal of they past year on getting the best possible pairs we could and working on the Full Bloods as well for replenishing the gene pool.
Full blood genetics will be a main part of our program in the New Year, but we also are super excited for our stunning Aurella and Varella, our big Jamthund beauties, daughter and mother, to have litters in 2026. Posso and Ark are both tough as nails and ready to go, soon as we get to the spring/summer mating I’ll announce the pairs.
For now, Huge Thanks to ALL Our Clients, and all Future clients already waiting for pups. We can’t do this without you!
Big Thanks to all the folks that helped us this past year, the list is extensive, but I want to personally Thank Lucinda for giving us a hand with Odin. Awesome he was able to step in. John was incredible to work with us trying to get the mating with Merle and Varja, it just was a timing issue for her, but huge Thanks to John as well. He went above and beyond to help.
Tammy was also super focused to give us the opportunity to once again utilize the beautiful Silver Nessa and we tried to get the litter with Kaleva, did not catch, but we will try again. Many Thanks to Tammy.
Caroline was incredible as well to bring out the stunning sister Kessa for us, we were unable to make that litter work but she was just a great asset for the entire breeding program, Thank you Caroline.
Jess and I have been all over the country this past year, moving dogs, moving locations, all supported by help and encouragement from all.
Major big Thanks to my lifelong friend Wayne and his wife Rhonda as they give us support and encouragement yet today in our recent move. Without the support and help it would have been a totally rugged last part of the year.
2026 is going to be truly monumental for Elkhounds, for the preservation and restoration of genetics. Renee is down in Texas she has three of our best Elkhounds there and we will be utilizing all three, Riatta, Ari and Rush in the New Year. She is excited.

Once again, Thank You to Everyone who works and supports our efforts!
Happy New Year!
